Bowel Screen
BowelScreen is Ireland's national bowel cancer screening programme.
Screening can help detect changes in the bowel before cancer develops and can also identify bowel cancer at an early stage, when treatment is often more effective.
The programme offers a free home screening test every two years to eligible men and women aged 60–69. The test is simple, non-invasive, and can be completed in the comfort of your own home.

Breast Check
BreastCheck is Ireland’s national breast screening programme, providing free mammograms to women aged 50 to 69 every two years.
Screening helps detect breast cancer at an early stage, often before symptoms develop, when treatment is most effective.

Cervical Smears
Cervical Check is Ireland’s national cervical screening programme.
Regular screening helps detect abnormal cell changes in the cervix before they develop into cancer.
Women aged 25–29 are invited for screening every 3 years, while women aged 30–65 are invited every 5 years.

Registering for a Medical Card, GP Visit Card, Under 8s Card or Over 70s Card
Free GP services are only available once your registration has been processed by the HSE. This applies to all schemes, including those for which you automatically qualify, such as the Under 8s and Over 70s schemes.
